| Three people were tragically killed in a traffic collision in Burke, Texas on May 30, 2009 and the man wanted in connection with their deaths has fled. Lufkin Crime Stoppers profiled the case previously but we feel it is so important to apprehend this man that we are trying again. Crime Stoppers wants to see the man face the charges and may pay a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to his arrest.
Vicente Gonzales is wanted by Angelina County Sheriff’s Office for three counts of Intoxication Manslaughter and one count of Intoxication Assault stemming from a horrible traffic crash that occurred on May 30.
On June 08, 2009, Gonzales fled a Houston hospital where he was being treated for injuries sustained in the collision. He may have attempted to change his appearance by cutting his hair or shaving his head. Following the traffic collision, Gonzales had casts on his arm and leg and had a major laceration to his hip. He had other serious injuries and has likely needed medical help. Gonzales is a 30-year old Hispanic male. He is approximately 5’6” tall and weighs approximately 170 pounds.
Gonzales is believed to have family in areas of Diboll, Texas and Polk County, Texas and he may have initially fled to Mexico, but recent information indicates that Gonzales may have returned in the Livingston, Texas area.

*** CAPTURED 01/12/2011 *** On January 11, 2011, Lufkin Police Department detectives received information from an unidentified source that Kendrick Johnson was inside of a residence located at 213 South Warren Avenue in Lufkin. The detectives went to the residence but were not able to make contact with anyone. Although they believed that Mr. Johnson was inside of the residence, the detectives were unable to corroborate the information received and a warrant to search the residence was not sought. Instead, the detectives watched the residence and at approximately 9:00 AM the following morning they again attempted to make contact at the residence. This time, Tracy Rangel opened the door. Mrs. Rangel stated that she did not know whether Kendrick Johnson was within the residence, or not, but she refused to consent to the search of the residence. As one detective called out through the open door for Mr. Johnson to exit the residence, another detective spoke with Ricky Rangel, who had just arrived at the residence. Mr. Rangel stated that the residence is his and that he had no knowledge of Kendrick Johnson being within the residence, but he stated that he would take the detectives into the residence to search it. While this conversation was taking place, a person inside of the residence informed the detective at the door that Mr. Johnson was hiding within the residence. The detectives entered the residence and found Kendrick Dundre Johnson hiding in a closet. Mr. Johnson was taken into custody and booked into Angelina County Jail for three outstanding arrest warrants for the offenses of Aggravated Kidnapping, a First Degree Felony, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, a Third Degree Felony, and Evading Arrest or Detention, a Class B Misdemeanor.
